There is so much to do and see at the Sharlot Hall Museum's largest Living History Adventure of the year, this Saturday, June 10th, from 10 am to 3 pm. Learn about Territorial Arizona's "Trades & Traditions" through the multiple demonstrations, activities, live music, and living history interpreters.

Experience the history of Territorial Prescott as portrayed by Living History interpreters in the Museum's historic buildings and on the grounds. Interpreters will be throughout campus providing a glimpse into the lives and livelihoods of Territorial settlers, from the Blacksmith Shop to the Schoolhouse to the Transportation Building.

Alongside our interpreters will be demonstrators sharing historic crafts like lacemaking and quilting, as well as trades like that of wooden wheel making. Stop by and talk with the spinners and weavers, discover how they make raw materials into thread and fabric. These activities engage visitors with a few of the projects and pastimes that early Prescottonians would have enjoyed and employed.

Kids will have the chance to try their hand at gold panning, dip their own candles, and decorate their own territorial-era paper dolls. Try your hand at learning and playing the Territorial-era favorite card game, Faro! Chat with Jessie Fremont and Sharlot Hall about what it was like to be a woman during Arizona's territorial period. Learn what it took to break the boundaries of what was expected of women.

Live music will be played throughout the day compliments of the traveling musical troupe Spencer & Jackson. Performances will take place at the Fremont House Porch, 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm. Leanne and her husband will be performing Territorial-era songs and in historically-inspired costumes, performing on their own instruments.

There is so much to see and enjoy at this month's event! See you this Saturday at the Sharlot Hall Museum!
