Delta Is Giving Away $400 Gift Cards Every Month Through April 2025 — What to Know

Passengers can win by playing a retro in-flight game.

Delta Air Lines is going retro with a new “8-bit feel” in-flight game, and the chance to win hundreds in airline gift cards each month.

Delta passengers can now play the carrier’s Sky Hopper game by connecting to the in-flight Wi-Fi and competing to win a $400 Delta gift card each month through April 24, 2025, according to the airline. The game can be found in the entertainment section after logging in to the Wi-Fi portal with your SkyMiles membership number on your mobile device.

“With Sky Hopper, we’re giving our SkyMiles Members something fun and unexpected to look forward to each time they fly with us,” Sarah Honeyman, the managing director of IFEC Engagement and Optimization at Delta, said in a statement. “We’re committed to evolving the inflight experience with entertainment options that resonate with all of our customers while introducing them to all the great ways they can grow their world with SkyMiles and get rewarded for their loyalty.”

As part of the game, players will collect SkyMiles facts about the airline’s loyalty program and partners. After they complete the game and collect at least one SkyMiles fact (and see the “game over” screen), they will be entered to win a $400 Delta gift card. Travelers can enter up to 10 times per flight, or up to 30 entries per month.

Travelers who aren’t planning on flying any time soon can also enter to win the gift card by mailing their first name, last name, and email associated with their SkyMiles account to the Delta Sky Hopper Game Sweepstakes P.O. box 20706, Atlanta, GA, 30354.

The sweepstakes comes as Delta is expanding its free Wi-Fi to international flights. The carrier first started offering free Wi-Fi in the U.S. in 2022 and has since equipped more than 90 percent of its domestic mainline fleet with the service. Delta has said it “expects the vast majority of customers” will have access to free Wi-Fi by the end of 2024 and regional routes are expected to have access sometime in 2025.
